I was disappointed after the cashier charged us full drink price for small cups I explicitly stated were for water. She did not tell us she added these charges to our bill. The hotdog I ordered (chile dog) was good but not worth the $4 I spent. I will be keeping my hotdog business at Dirty Franks from now on.

If you're craving original REAL Chicago food eat at Wholly Joe's! The beef sausage combo is DELICIOUS and way better than Portillo's. The deep dish pizza (which takes 45 minutes if you're in hurry there is a wait but this is pretty standard for deep dish pizzas) is loaded with cheese and amazing toppings. If you are from Chicago or just love Chicago style food this is the place to go. We are so happy we don't have to drive over 5 hours whenever we're craving a sausage beef combo from now on! For anyone who doesn't know what a sausage beef combo is - it's just like a french dip with amazing sausage packed in it and italian beef- hint dip it in au jus -while we were there a guy was asking for A-1 sauce lol which is not how you're supposed to eat it - we prefer to dunk the sandwich in au jus haha ENJOY! By the way we stopped to compliment the awesome staff and talked to the owner for a bit who was so friendly and nice to us we were so pleased with the hospitality at this place we can't wait to return. TRY THE SAUSAGE BEEF COMBO YOU WILL LOVE IT!!! TELL YOUR FRIENDS!

Italian Beef sandwich was awesome. Way better than any subway type joints. Bread was thick n juicy, but the meat could've used a little more. Flavor was great with a little spicyness to it. Nxt time I'm going to order it extra juicy. There are other options to add to the sandwich, but I can't remember them all. Like: juicy, jalapeños, sweet peppers, cheese, etc... They also have chicago style pizza n dogs that I will probably try while I'm here.

I've been here over 70 minutes and am still waiting for our deep dish pizza (I was told the wait was 40 min which I was fine with). There are only 4 other tables full so I don't think they would be backed up. My husband went up to ask what was wrong and they said the "oven was acting wonky" and would take another 5-10 minutes. They offered us chocolate cake for our wait, the only reason they are getting two stars from me. My husband and brother split an original hot dog while we were waiting and said it was nothing special. I had mozarella sticks (box variety kind)- they were fine. I can't review the pizza, obviously, but am no longer excited about it. Disappointing. Update: We got the pizza 78 minutes from when we first ordered it. No apology from the person who brought it out. We were expecting the cheese under the sauce like we have had in Chicago but it was just like a regular pizza. The pizza had a lot of cheese on it which was a plus but the sauce and crust had a lot to be desired. It was ok. We took our cake to eat at home because we just wanted to get out of there. I really wanted to like this place but this experience left me very sour. I'm not coming back and not recommending it to anyone else.

Great food. The Italian beef is amazing. They can give you the au jus on the side or they can dip the entire sandwich in it. The Chicago style hotdogs are also very good. I haven't found another place in town that has this type of menu. The prices are reasonable and the service is fast, even during the busy lunch hour.
